FAQ
1. Please use updated browsers (Firefox, Chrome or IE) only and try an alternate system (laptop or desktop) in case of repeated issues.
2. Faculty Application Process Instruction:
- Fill all the fields in the form with specific and valid data.
- Please ensure that all details provided are accurate as no changes will be allowed once you have submitted your application.
- The set of enclosures to be uploaded as part of the application processes are:
- Photo in JPG format with a maximum size of 600×600 pixels.
- IMPORTANT: Scanned copy of signature in JPG format with a maximum size of 400×200 pixels.
- Scanned copies of mark/grade sheets, certificates and documents starting from Matriculation till highest degree attained.
- Candidates awaiting award of Ph.D. Degree should upload provisional Ph.D. completion certificate.
- Please upload any other relevant documents & certificates related to educational and professional experience.
- Brief research plan (not to exceed Two A4 pages with font size 10 or above).
- Subjects of interest for teaching (not to exceed One A4 page with font size 10 or above).
- Significant publications in SCI-Journals (maximum 5).
- The documents/certificates must be in PDF or JPG image format (No other formats will be accepted).
- Please encode the PDF files using Adobe PDF plugins or Adobe software only to maintain the PDF standards.
- The maximum size per uploaded file cannot exceed 1.0 MB. If required split larger document into multiple parts and clearly name the documents such as CV_part1of3.pdf, CV_part2of3, CV_part3of3.
- The portal will also allow you to entirely discard all data entered and start afresh before final submission.
- Each and every step should complete with in 10 min.
- After submission of your application at this portal you can use your registered Email ID and Password to login at the IIT Bhubaneswar Faculty Application Portal at http://webapps.iitbbs.ac.in/skbet/index.php
- The portal will enable you to print the application form and view status of the application.
- After successful submission of your application, your application number will be displayed. Please make a note of the same and include this number in all future communications. The number will also be available in your User Page.
- If you are currently employed by Government Organizations or Public Sector Undertakings your application will need to be duly forwarded by your current employer through proper channel. Please continue with your online application. Print a hard copy of the application form (the online portal will allow you to print after successful electronic submission of your application). Attach all relevant enclosures and forward the application packet through proper channel and send to:

3. I have made a mistake while filling up the application form and I realized it after submitting. Can I change or correct?
Unfortunately at this point submitted application forms are not editable. You may withdraw your application and re-apply for the same position. Please login to your account and withdraw the submitted application. You may reapply once you have withdrawn.
